In November 2013 the Tree Care Industry (TCI) Expo was held in Charlotte, N.C., U.S.A. Always a great time for arborist professionals, vendors and manufacturers alike, this year was extra special for the Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA) as they celebrated 75 years of providing unparalleled service to that same community. From educational classes to a stroll around the NASCAR® Hall of Fame to visiting the 75th Anniversary Museum that highlighted arborist equipment from 1938 to present-day this was the place to be in November!
Many educational classes took place that informed tree care professionals of the latest research in the industry through workshops, forums and demonstrations while giving attendees an opportunity to earn continuing education units (CEUs). Besides a great CEU learning experience, attendees also had the chance to visit with vendors and manufacturers from around the United States.
Attendees who stopped by the Vermeer booth had the opportunity to learn about tree care equipment, including the BC1000xl dual-fuel and the BC700xl brush chippers, as well as mobile apps, Arbor Quote and Parts Scout. And who could forget the Foot-lock competition sponsored by ArborMaster and Vermeer? Pros and newbies all had fun, but take note as you practice for 2015 — this year’s fastest time was only 9.53 seconds.
If you missed out this year — you won’t want to miss out again. Make sure to stay on the lookout for next year’s TCI Expo announcements and up-to-date with association information by visiting www.tcia.org.
