VermeerOne platform FAQs for tree care crews, rental yards and landscapers

VermeerOne platform

Tree care, rental and landscape operations rely on equipment that moves frequently, works in short cycles and supports multiple crews throughout the day. From brush chippers and stump cutters to mini loaders and pedestrian trenchers, productivity depends on knowing where machines are, how they’re being used and when they need attention.

That’s where the VermeerOne™ platform comes in to keep you connected, certain and confident in your equipment’s day-to-day operations. It’s just one of the ways our digital tools are evolving to better meet your equipment and jobsite needs.

“VermeerOne platform is tailored to the specific needs of our markets and the growing and changing needs of our customers,” said Casey Flanagan, Vermeer digital product manager. “Plus, you have a quality Vermeer experience across from your products, regardless of them being physical or digital.”

Built for fast‑moving fleets, VermeerOne platform brings machine telematics, service information and equipment resources into one place. Instead of tracking machines across spreadsheets, whiteboards or phone calls, teams can reference the same information and keep work moving from job to job.

Let’s take a look at some frequently asked questions about VermeerOne platform.

What is VermeerOne platform and why does it matter for tree care, rental and landscape equipment?

VermeerOne is a digital platform designed to support Vermeer equipment ownership by bringing machine information and insights into one place. But it is more than that. It’s part of the experience you get when you’re with Vermeer. It helps owners, operators and dealers stay more connected to their equipment and to make informed, confident decisions through the lifecycle of the equipment.

For tree care, rental or landscape fleets, that means fewer gaps between the yard, the truck and the jobsite. Whether equipment is assigned to a single crew, rotated through rentals or shared across locations, VermeerOne platform helps centralize information so decisions don’t rely on guesswork.

How does VermeerOne platform support tree care, rental and landscape operations differently?

Tree care, rental and landscape equipment is often:

  • Transported frequently
  • Used by multiple operators
  • Assigned to short‑duration jobs
  • Returned, redeployed or rotated quickly

VermeerOne platform supports these realities by helping teams:

  • Monitor machine utilization across crews and jobs
  • Reference location and operating status between sites
  • Track maintenance needs on frequently used equipment
  • Maintain consistent records even when operators change

When equipment availability and readiness affect daily scheduling, visibility matters.

How do digital tools like VermeerOne platform actually impact my jobsite and fleet management?

Digital tools help simplify how equipment is managed beyond the jobsite itself.

“It extends the jobsite to people that can’t be physically present,” Flanagan said.

Instead of relying on paperwork, manual tracking or disconnected systems, VermeerOne platform provides centralized access to equipment information that supports better planning and quick decision‑making, whether you’re managing one machine or a fleet across multiple jobsites.

For tree care, rental and landscape operations, this means fewer calls to confirm machine status, less uncertainty when assigning equipment and clearer coordination between managers, operators and service teams — whether equipment is owned, rented or shared across crews.

How is VermeerOne platform different from other digital tools I already use?

VermeerOne platform is different than other digital tools because Vermeer equipment and support are different. Instead of relying on multiple disconnected tools or systems, VermeerOne platform centralizes equipment data, maintenance records and machine resources while strengthening the connection between you and your local Vermeer dealer. For tree care, rental and landscape fleets, this helps reduce friction when machines move between jobs or operators.

Just like Vermeer dealerships are your one-stop support, VermeerOne platform is your one-stop for machine information at your fingertips.

Can I use VermeerOne platform even if I don’t have machine telematics?

Yes. Access to operator’s manuals, service and maintenance information, machine resources and dealer contact details are available for all machines, even if they are not equipped with telematics. This allows owners and rental managers to centralize important equipment resources across mixed fleets, keeping critical information accessible whether or not machines are actively connected.

What machine telematics data does VermeerOne platform give me access to?

There are three levels of data VermeerOne platform provides, depending on your machine capabilities and subscription.

  • Non-connected equipment: For machines not equipped to capture telematics data, machine specifications and model specific configurations are available along with associated operator’s, maintenance and parts manuals. Service information is also available and able to be recorded.
  • Base Fleet: For machines with a telematics control unit and active data plan, more machine information is available. With machine telematics data, base fleet provides real-time information on fault codes, machine location, machine hours and machine operational status.
  • Premium Fleet: For machines with a Premium Fleet subscription in addition to a telematics control unit and active data plan, historical or past usage information is available as well as productivity insights. Historical information includes a full fault code history, machine location and machine fuel usage. Productivity insights are provided from fleet-level utilization of work hours, idle hours, runtime hours and start and stop average times. Additionally, machine geofencing and asset tracking are included, so you can be notified anytime your machine leaves a certain area.

This layered approach helps tree care, rental or landscape fleets scale visibility as equipment usage and fleet complexity grow.

Does my Vermeer dealer have access to my machine telematics data too?

Yes, your local dealer has access to the telematics data so they can provide you with the most beneficial support for your needs.

“Providing dealers the ability to support our customers through equipment data is a core function of VermeerOne platform,” Flanagan said. “It supports the ability for Vermeer dealers to support not just the product needs but the services and consultation needs of our customers.”

With shared visibility, dealers can provide more informed recommendations and proactive support aligned with how your equipment is being used.

How can VermeerOne platform impact uptime on my equipment?

VermeerOne platform is designed to help support equipment uptime by giving owners better visibility into machine health, usage and maintenance needs. By bringing machine information, service history and machine telematics insights into one place, VermeerOne platform helps you identify potential issues quickly and plan maintenance more proactively — minimizing unexpected downtime and helping you keep equipment ready for work.

For equipment that moves daily between sites — such as brush chippers, stump cutters or mini loaders — this visibility helps keep machines ready when crews need them.

How can VermeerOne platform help me stay on top of maintenance?

VermeerOne platform helps you stay on top of maintenance by providing visibility into planned and completed service, maintenance history and machine usage.

“It has the ability to log what work has been completed on the machine, which is critical in understanding when that next maintenance item needs to occur,” Flanagan said.

Service performed by your team or your Vermeer dealer can be logged and stored with the machine’s records. Keeping this information in one place supports proactive planning for fleets with frequent usage and multiple operators, while also supporting long-term equipment care.

Pro tip: Did you know that you can get notifications when your next maintenance interval is approaching? Set up email, text/SMS or mobile push notifications in your user account.

Where can I access VermeerOne platform?

VermeerOne platform is web‑based and accessible wherever there’s an internet connection — from the office and the shop to jobsites, yards and staging areas. The mobile app supports quick access in the field, while the desktop experience allows for deeper review and reporting. Your local Vermeer dealer can help you get logged in and started.

Is access to VermeerOne platform included when I own Vermeer tree care, rental or landscape equipment?

Access to VermeerOne platform is just one of the ways Vermeer equipment owners are Equipped to Do More(TM). Your local Vermeer dealer can help you get set up, connect your equipment and understand what features are available to support your operation.

  • Base fleet: Base Fleet is included with your VermeerOne platform account at no additional cost for the first 5 years of ownership of a new machine in the United States or Canada. After 5 years, the Base Fleet subscription is needed to activate a data plan to retrieve the machine telematics data.
  • Premium fleet: Available for select machines, a Premium Fleet subscription is an additional charge to gain industry-specific insights. The subscriptions are available on an individual machine basis.

For more information or to purchase fleet subscriptions, visit the Vermeer digital storefront or reach out to your local Vermeer dealer.

Does VermeerOne platform connect me to where I can buy chipper teeth, cutter teeth or service kits?

VermeerOne platform connects you with parts experts at your local Vermeer dealership through contact information and e-commerce store at participating dealers. This enables you to get in touch with parts experts near to you to efficiently solve the parts and wearable needs of your jobsite.

Can only one person access VermeerOne platform for my equipment?

No. VermeerOne platform is designed to support all teams operating, managing or servicing the equipment. This shared access helps make it easier for teams to stay aligned with equipment status, maintenance activity and machine information. It also helps improve coordination across crews and locations.

Can I manage multiple machines in one VermeerOne platform account?

Of course! VermeerOne platform is designed to give you visibility across your equipment fleet from one account, whether you own one or ten thousand and one machines. This makes it easier for fleet managers and owners to maintain visibility across equipment, locations and service activity without switching between systems – simplifying oversight for rental yards, tree care operations and landscape fleets alike.

Do I need to be tech-savvy to use VermeerOne platform?

No. It is a digital tool, but VermeerOne platform is more-so an extension of the jobsite.

“Knowledge of your industry is all you need to bring with you,” Flanagan said.

The platform only presents equipment- and jobsite-relevant information — no need for unused extras. It is built to support day‑to‑day equipment management without requiring advanced computer knowledge.

Who can I talk to if I still have questions about VermeerOne platform?

Your local Vermeer dealer can provide support for your jobsite needs in just one stop – including VermeerOne platform support. Dealers can help answer questions, assist with account setup and ensure you’re getting the most value from the platform and your Vermeer equipment ownership experience.
